CENTRAL AFRICA
Central Africa mostly constitutes the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), and the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC). The member states include Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and São Tomé-and-Príncipe.
EASTERN AFRICA
Comoros, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. Most of which make up the East African Community (EAC).
WESTERN AFRICA
Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo. West Africa is, with its 15 members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) the region with the largest number of countries. It is also the most populous region, with an estimated 350 million people.

Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Most of the member states belong to the Southern African Development Community (SADC), an inter-governmental organization headquartered in Gaborone, Botswana.
AFRICAN DIASPORA
The diaspora was constituted as the sixth region in 2003 to encourage the participation of people of African origin living outside the continent. According to the African Union, these are People of African origin living outside the continent, irrespective of their citizenship and nationality and who are willing to contribute to the development of the continent and the building of the African Union.
