Primary functions
- Assists with the final stages of the peer-review process by notifying authors of journal decisions and/or transmitting final versions of accepted manuscripts.
- Manages the journal email account, which includes preparing correspondence for and responding to inquiries by editors, associate editors, authors and reviewers, and forwarding pertinent correspondence to relevant staff.
- Facilitates the cross-journal transfer of articles from one journal to another, which includes working with authors to ensure that all pieces needed for the transfer are available and initiating and tracking the transfer through our online submission system.
